Nike NYC Marathon
Art Direction, Concept
In anticipation for the New York City Marathon, Nike approached us with the appetite to create a campaign that spoke directly to New York runners. Their goal was to encourage the local running community and drive downloads to the Nike Running app.
We needed to demonstrate our understanding of the idiosyncrasies that make running in New York unique. As a result we created New Run City, a connected campaign story that celebrated the unique challenge (and opportunity) of running in NYC. We did this through hyper-targeted OOH billboards, social ads, and Nike’s very own radio station.
To further celebrate the unique qualities of New York Runners we created our very own radio station, Nike Run 24.7FM.
The resulting radio spots had a distinguishable New York attitude and included helpful tips to runners — like how to get out of a runner’s rut or power through particularly bad weather.
